Welcome to Turkey! We will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel after a welcome briefing about the tour ahead. Your evening is free at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul at the selected hotel.
Discover the Byzantine and Ottoman treasures of Istanbul. Visit the Royal TOPKAPI PALACE, home of the Ottoman Sultans, the BLUE MOSQUE, unique with six minarets, the Roman HIPPODROME SQUARE, and famous HAGIA SOPHIA. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul (B, L)
Optional half day Dolmabahce Palace tour – or a Bosporus Cruise tour this day – depending on the wheather conditions. Optional: evening of Turkish cuisine and entertainment. Overnight in Istanbul (B)
Day 4
Istanbul – Kayseri – Cappadocia
Fly to Kayseri to Tour Goreme’s rock chapels decorated with 6th century frescoes, Zelve’s cliff-side Byzantine monastic complex and Uchisar’s natural citadel. Explore the eight-story underground city of Kaymakli where thousands of early Christians hid from persecutors. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia (B,L,D)
Day 5
Cappadocia Kayseri – Izmir via Istanbul
Drive to Kayseri and board on a morning flight to Izmir via Istanbul (B)
Travel to Pamukkale’s white lime cascades formed by hot mineral springs. After touring the Hierapolis Roman health spa ruins, return to Izmir for overnight (B, L)
Day 7
Ephesus – House of Virgin Mary – Kusadasi
Visit the infamous Ephesus in the morning; In the Roman period it was for many years the second largest city of the Roman Empire; ranking behind Rome, the empire's capital.Then we will visit the House of Virgin Mary. Today there is an optional Tour to Sardis; the capital of the ancient kingdom of Lydia. Overnight in Izmir (B, L)
Day 8
Izmir – End of our Services
Our representative escorts you to the airport for the flight home. End of our services as we transfer you to the Izmir Airport. B
