What is Stellar?

We are an app-based company that connects large property management companies with contractors across multiple trades to provide maintenance solutions. We are currently servicing 250,000+ properties across 9 states with plans for additional expansion.

What are some of the benefits of becoming a stellar contractor?

Business: We bring business to you! We handle lead generation, scheduling and admin work so you can focus on the work you love to do. No out-of-pocket expenses, quick payments, flexible scheduling, custom insurance, no competitive bidding, and a tool buyback program.

What type of work does stellar do?

Our primary focus is on home repairs. We do not do remodels or new construction. Most of the homes we are working on are occupied, but we do occasionally work on vacant properties.

How does work get assigned?

Our clients send us new work orders daily. Our dispatch team contacts the resident to confirm availability, then matches it with a contractor based on skills, trade, and location.

How do I set myself up for success with stellar?

Submit availability, show up on time, communicate well, do great work, and clean up before you leave. Delight customers and you’ll get more work!

What does it look like to do a job with stellar?

Most jobs start with an assessment. You’ll submit photos and notes via the app. After approval, you complete the scope of work for a set fee.

How do I use the app during a job?

Use the Stellar Pro App to accept jobs, check in, perform the assessment, upload photos, submit bids, and mark work complete. You’ll also use it for directions and resident contact.

Pricing & Fees

Are there any fees associated with doing work with stellar?

You don’t pay for leads or access. We charge a small per-job marketplace fee. If you don’t have your own insurance, optional coverage is available at a small percentage fee.

Why am I not receiving work?

Stellar can’t guarantee volume, but you can increase chances by offering more availability and expanding your service zones. Seasonality also impacts job flow.

Do you cover the cost of materials?

Yes. We have a Home Depot Pro account you can use to purchase materials needed for approved Stellar jobs.

When will I be paid?

You choose NET30 (no fee) or NET7 (4% fee). Payments are made every Friday via direct deposit.

How does pricing work?

You are paid per job. After your assessment, your Project Manager confirms pricing based on your photos and notes. You must agree before work proceeds.
